Prevent Child Abuse New York (PCANY) received a 2018 legislative award to create the NYS Home Visiting Coordination Initiative. We are committed to providing a forum for all home visitors to learn, share, and develop new skill sets.
In 2019, PCANY coordinated the facilitation of regional summits across NYS. The completion of these meetings culminated in 10 regional development plans and overarching Statewide recommendations for the landscape of home visiting.
PCANY staff are in the process of planning a Statewide, virtual 2020 summit. This meeting will serve as an opportunity for regional partners to discuss their respective plans and make connections about home visiting in the context of the diverse NYS landscape. Additionally, regional Backbone organizations (BBOs) will conclude the next summit with a concrete plan about how to implement recommendations throughout the next year.
